Human body is an amazing machine which work non stop to perform all the body functions

This machine works on fuel called energy. Energy is required to perform all vital functions.

Now the question arises from where does this energy come from?

Energy comes from the food which we are eating. Food helps us to stay alive and gives us energy to complete our daily tasks.

There are two sources of food

1.Plant Sources -Food obtained from plants or by their product is called plant sources like Cereals,Pulses Fruits and Vegetables.

2.Animal Sources-Food obtained from animals or its byproducts are called animal sources.

It is very important for us to take care of our health because a healthy body can give rise to a healthy mind.

There are some factors which help us to keep ourselves healthy.

1.Balanced diet

2.Regular exercise

3.Enough rest and

4.Protection from diseases.

1.Balanced Diet- By the term balanced diet we mean a diet which contains all the nutrients like 

  • Carbohydrate 
  • Fats
  • Proteins
  • Vitamins
  • Minerals
  • Roughage 
  • Water

In the correct proportion. Our requirement of nutrients depends upon our age, lifestyle and the work we do. We should take our  diet according to our body’s needs. For example a growing child requires more protein than an old person because the child is in a growing stage. He/She requires protein for their growth process.

 

2.Regular Exercise- Regular exercise is very important as” In a healthy body a healthy mind can live.” There are so many benefits of exercising:

 

  • Regular exercise helps to build and tone up our muscles. So we should always ensure a 1 Hour exercise routine.
  • At a time of exercise our heart beats faster and blood circulates faster. Good circulation leads to good heart health.
  • At the time of exercise our nervous system supplies more oxygen to the brain which keeps our mind and body active.
  • Exercise helps to keep our body in shape. It maintains correct posture as bad posture leads to various health problems like backache , joint pain etc. It also makes us look confident and graceful.
  • Exercise improves our flexibility and increases agility.

 

3.Enough rest –As we said earlier human body is like a complex machine it works nonstop and food we eat acts like a fuel to our body.as after a long run we switch off a machine for some time to make sure that after break it will again get charged same way our body also need to be charged after a long hectic day. You must have observed after a sleepless night we struggle whole day to perform our basic daily tasks.

Some points to remember are:

  • If your body takes proper rest and a regular hour of sleep then it will help to relax muscles and give our body a much needed rest.
  • It is advisable to sleep for 7 to 8 hour at night.
  • After a proper rest we feel fresh and ready to work again.
  • We can work more efficiently if we take proper rest.
  • Proper sleep gives  time to the body for the growth and repair of body cells.

 

4.Protection from diseases-A disease is an abnormal condition in which the body is not able to function properly. Such condition affects us badly it can hamper our growth, can affect our mental state, affect our physical processes etc.

There can be so many reason of causing disease like:

  • Malfunctioning of one or the other body organ.
  • Lack of particular nutrients in the body.
  • Disease caused by microbes etc.

We should always try to stay protected because “Prevention is always better than cure”.

Our body is a wonderful creation of God. We should always take care of it. Protect it from all kinds of diseases .We Can’t predict mishap but what we can do is to take precaution.
